We are a community of women who have been called into ever deepening relationship with Jesus Christ. Mother of Perpetual Help Monastery is one of 40 communities in the international Order of the Most Holy Redeemer. As Redemptoristine Nuns we live the contemplative monastic life according to the norms of Papal Enclosure. Prayer is our apostolic work on behalf of the Church and the world.
In consequence of the friendship of our foundress Maria Celeste Crostarosa and St. Alphonsus de Liguori, founder of the Redemptorist Congregation, we continue to pray for all Redemptorists. By our prayer we support their apostolic mission in service to the poor and the most abandoned.
Jesus revealed our charism to Maria Celeste (1696-1755) during post-communion meditations described in her Autobiography. In simple terms, her daughters are to strive to become “living memories” of Jesus, our Redeemer, and, in Paschal joy, give witness to the Risen Christ.
